Voting Rules for Best Lightning Session Presentation and Best
Poster
- Please write your name on the ballot. Voting is
NON-anonymous. However, we will keep the votes private (i.e.,
none other than the Best Paper Selection Committee and the
Program Chair will be exposed).
- Please do NOT vote for a paper if you have a
conflict-of-interest with a paper. A conflict-of-interest
exists if any author of the paper is related to you in the
following ways (but there may be other reasons as well):
- PhD advisor
- Other past or current advisors
- Current or past students
- People who have the same affiliation (i.e., are from the same
institution)
- People whom you co-authored papers with in the last 3 years
- People whom you co-authored funded proposals with in the last 3
years
- Close friendship or family member
- You can vote for ONLY ONE paper.
- You need to turn in your ballot for "Best Lightning Session
Presentation" immediately after the lightning session. No late
ballots are accepted.
- You need to turn in your ballot for "Best Poster"
immediately after the poster session. No late ballots are
accepted.
- Your vote will be discarded if any of the above rules is
violated.
- Voting results will be used as inputs to the Best Paper
Selection Committee.
